State Cooperative Agreements

SAMHSA's SBIRT Cooperative Agreements

In 2003, SAMHSA funded cooperative agreements with six States and one Tribal Council to establish SBIRT services. The projects vary with regard to setting, population, and operational model.

The recipients include:

• California
• Cook Inlet Tribal Council
• Illinois
• New Mexico
• Pennsylvania
• Texas
• Washington

In 2006, CSAT funded four additional cooperative agreements with:

• Colorado
• Florida
• Massachusetts
• Wisconsin
