Training Events for Trauma Care Providers
Substance use conditions are frequently associated with increased risk of injury and trauma care center admissions. A significant number of trauma center providers, however, are not skilled in providing substance abuse screening and brief intervention (SBI) services to their patients.
To address this need, a one-day training has been developed to familiarize participants with the principles and procedures for implementing SBI in the emergency department and trauma care setting.
Below is the 2007 training schedule. For more information and to register, visit The SBI Training For Trauma Care Providers Web Site.
